zoanthids getting detached from rocks?

was wondering...

i bought a live rock with corals forming on it...
(goniopora and brain) small though...

it also has zoanthids...

my question is... why are the zoos detaching from the rock? they were in a crevice there... but now... it
is floating all over the tank...

btw, tried putting them back in... but they simply wont stick again...

do i turn off the flow for a couple of days to make them stick?

yes the gel is the way to go..... put a dab on the back of the coral put it under water, and the glue will skin over... when you place it where you want it just suish the glue on the rock and rubb it back and forth untill you feel it grab , the just let it go.... and walla corals new home.... oh but this doesnt work with leathers...

now my zoas are kind of like a ball..no flat bottom. will the glue still adhere over the protective slime coat that the coral releases?

and yes... mine are melting right now... what the heck is happening... all other corals are fine... the anemone is fine... only this little zoanthid colony

I find that super glue GEL PLUS marine epoxy works best

Mix up your epoxy >>>
Put super glue on rock (dried off spot)
Put Epoxy on super glue
put Frag on super glue

Push for about 10-20 secs (I use Push lightly)

Voila!

Super glue is fine for loose polyps. You need to do it out of the water for best results. Pull the rock, dry the spot, put the super glue on it, dry off the polyp part to be attached and stick it. Put it in the water and the glue dries almost immediately.

Oh, I almost forgot. Pick at your fingers for the next day to get the super glue off.

FUN TIMES!

Zoas are pretty tough to kill. About the only thing I haven't killed :mad2:
They are probably just closed and pulled in. Get them positioned and they will come back AND GROW AND MULTIPLY
