Zoanthids look like they are turning gray

relax. that looks like a wild colony that they sell for cheap here in san diego. i really hope you dipped or QT the colony all kinds of nasty things come in on those. it will take some time for the zoas to fully open up and look right. most likely there are more then one kind of zoa on there and also some will morph due to your lighting compared to where they grew/lfs.

Thanks so much! Yes I learned the hard way to always dip ! Had zoa pox once and also deal with aiptasia! Never a dull moment in the reef aquarium hobby, that's for sure.
