I am starting up a zoanthid tank soon and i would likwe to know what is the best way to keep zoanthids happy

Should i use a skimmer?
What should I feed?
When should I feed it?
Will zoa's benefit from kalkwasser?
Is a refugium a good idea if I want them to grow quickly?

Thanks in advance.

Most people do use a skimmer, I reccomend them, corals or not. I just feed my fish, flake, formula 1, cyclopeze, and mysis, I don't specifically feed the zoanthids. I feed between 4 and 6pm ;) Kalkwasser will help by adding calcium. Zoanthids don't have a hard skeleton but I would think monitoring calcium would be a good idea, alkalinity also perhaps more. I think a refugium would be beneficial. I like macros and keeping them contained in one area helps and giving a place for pods to run freely is fun to watch, aside from them reproducing and turning into food.:D
