Zoas being stung! HELP!

These little things have started to grow out of my zoa rock. I dont know what they are, but it seems they are starting to bother em. What are they how should I get rid of em? I tried plucking some out but only seemed to pluck out the first half of their bodies. Will they regenerate?

I dont want them spreading thru out. HELP!

Dont mind my arrows i was really tired and it was really late.

Hydroids. I pulled my zoas out and tweezed the droids off. I'm watching to see if they do grow back.

I've had that frag for 3+ months how did they just come outta no where?

Same here. They are just in the tank, on the rock, ...

I agree, they appear to be hydroids. Do some research and figure out how to rid yourself of them. I have never experienced them but i have read that they can be a headache.

Yep hydroids the only way to get rid of them is to use a tweezer and pull them off.

would they spread all throughout the tank?

yes they will and they get all over the place and they multiply fast too.

They are bad for corals. They sting other corals too.

Those particular hydroids seem to have a stronger sting than most. I was able to tweeze them off a rock and not have them come back, at least not in the couple months since I did it.

So I tweezed some but some still have a base in the rock, will they come back? Im wondering if i should take that frag outta the tank altogether. I really dont want to have to deal with an entire infestation.
