zoas browning out (pic)

I have 2 colony of GPEs that has been crapping out. Some of the polyps are browning out, becoming very loose from the rock. Any idea what this might be?

Two of the colonies are placed at two different locations within the tank but suffering from the same symptoms.

there seems to be alot of brown slime that is covering the individual polyps and i can peel it off

You might want to dip those. I've occasionly had colonies do that and proceed to disappear.

argh what can i dip these in? i never had a problem like this before. any idea what causes this?

Most pet stores have Lugol's, BUT for the same price you can get 10x as much at some drug stores, you might have to call around.

Ive had similar probs. Would a commercial sps type dip work?
