Zoas dying off - please help

My zoas seem to be disappearing. They aren't melting or anything, but they appear to be dying off. Any idea what the culprit could be? Everything else seems fine.

if there not melting or no sign of nudies i agree with dee what are the fish i had a hippo tang that ate the like crazy
good luck

I caught a lawnmower blenny tearing off zoas from the rock. I doubt he was eating them though. The other day my Christmas wrasse attacked a colony for about 1/2 hour & then never bothered any again.

My bi color blenny was nipping at a colony that was close to his hole. Since I moved them, he hasn't bothered anything else.

You have a skunk and 2 onyx clowns? Probably not a good idea but don't think that has anything to do with the zoos. How about crabs or shrimp. As someone else mentioned other corals could be stinging them. But it sounds like something is eating them. Take a look at you tank after lights out and see if you could spot the the preditor.

I've heard of people finding crazy big worms and stuff in small tanks that come out at night and eat stuff, get a light with a red lense so you don't scare stuff as easily to really get a look.

Yes the nudibranchs will typically lay there eggs on the sides of polyps. They stay on there pretty tight (pretty important when ocean currents are involved I usually scrape them off while I have them in QT with a pippette and manually extract the mommies and daddies the same way.

****some one else wrote this on a differant thread*******

the other people had all said they suck them up with turkey baseter and also do freash water dipps.
