Zoas... encrusting?

I am trying to find out about what corals are good beginer corals and I have a weird question.
Are Zoas encrusting? Will they take over any rock they are placed on and can they be removed if they spread too far?

yes, and yes. and yes. Most don't spread as fast as, say, GSP or xenia, and some do very slowy, but they'll spread. Some types encrust tight, some spread out more. Most of the time its good because then you can frag and sell the smaller pieces (or trade for credit). Most types will take a while though, so I wouldn't worry about it.

It does happen that a bland variety bother people, but it is pretty rare. You can easy enough trade a rock in if it is a problem.
