Zoas getting light in color and some melting away

Ok. It has been a while since I have posted (a good thing because my tank has been doing really good). Anyways, I got a reefkeeper 2 for a good deal and decided to get some dosing pumps to make my life a little easier (I had been slacking keeping up with the 2 part). So now I got my tank on track alk is 9 and cal 400. So first is the good news: My sps is doing phenominal! I can literally see new growth daily! My zoas on the other hand look like pure crap. My chong bongs have a brown fungus on them and are slowly melting away. My purple deaths and nuclear greens are both really bleached looking. The skirts on my devils armor and lord of the rings are almost white and my nightmares haven't opened for a few days and I fear I may lose them. What am I doing wrong and what can I do differently?

Sounds like you may have the same issue I have - brown gunk on the zoas (which I posted about here)... I'll follow your thread too! Like you, everything else in the tank is great! Good luck,

That may at least take care of the ones with the fungus. I still don't know what to do about the ones that are bleached out.

That's what I'm thinking of trying too - I just don't know if it's really a fungus or not. Or a brown jelly type infection... Either way, any idea if the peroxide will kill other life on the live rock the zoas are on? My zoas are all growing all over rocks, so there's no treating them without dipping the whole rock... Take care,
--Kyle

Idk if it will kill what is on the lr. I would rather kill what is on the lr than to lose the zoas. The lr will get populated back with pods and whatever else is living in it.

I will dip mine tonight and let you know what happens. If I can find my memory card reader I will post pics.
