Zoas looking different/closed up?

These zoa's used to expand huge but recently started to look like this? They are looking smaller and a portion of them tend to stay closed up during the day. Any suggestions on what could be going wrong? Thanks for any help!

Hey, perhaps some fish or creature is bugging them? I have hermit crabs in my tank that crawl on top of my zoas and this makes them close up. Perhaps something is irritating the zoas often and they are closing up.

Look into it. Might be a possible explanation.

Star polyps are very noxious. It is very possible they are the culprit. I would do a freshwater dip and move them or the starpolyps.

maybe to much flow on them have you changed your flow pattern lately i kno mine closed up for a day or two when i changed mine
