I have a small aquarium of 36x21x24 inches with the following parameters:
Light: Metal Halide 150 wt (1 year old) coupled with actinic blue and white 1 each.
Wavemaker: Conch2
Skimmer: ReefOctopus 110.
Reactor: ReefOctopus Biopelette reactor
Sump with small DSB chamber, seachem denitrator media, chaetomorpha, activate dcarbon in small amount.
Water parameters:
SG - 1.024, Salt used: Instant Ocean Reef Crystal.
Temp - 28C.
Alkalinity - 7-8 (Salifert)
PO4 - undetectable (Salifert)
NO3 - 50 ppm (Salifert)
Calcium - 520-550 (Salifert)
Mg - 1320 (Salifert)
Iodide - >0.06 (Salifert)
pH - 8.00 approx (Salifert)
Dosing: Seachem fusion 1 & 2 (on every alternate day), Kent purple tech (weekly), Seachem Fuel as vitamin supplement, Seachem Reef Iodide (on every water change and/or weekly) as Iodine supplement, Brightwell Replenish for fish and inverts, Brightwell Reef Snow as coral food coupled with Zooplankton from TLF.
Mainly soft sps with regal tang, sailfin tang, clown, cardinal, 6 liner, etc. are the main inhabitants having naussarius snails, turbo snail, shrimps.
However, I am having some sort of problem for quite some time. Zoanthids are not surviving in my tank. Earlier they did, but now they just don't open. I have tried it with shifting in different places as well in the tank but not of good gain. Further, corals with polyps like pipe organ, polyps, jasmine polyps, green polyps, etc. are slowly decaying. Polyps are decreasing slowly. I am not sure about the cause of this.
It is also observed that coralline algae is also vanishing slowly.
I am uploading one recent pic of the zoanthid. Any suggestion would be a warm appreciation and of good help from you.
Thanks in advance,
Regards.
