zoo dip went bad?

so i saw a few of my colonies going down the pooper. i decided since they looked like they were dying, it wont hurt to dip them to try and save them. keep in mind these are frags too.

my RPEs closed up on me and its been well over 1 week since they have opened. 1 or 2 polyps open from time to time, but they rest are closed. then my zurcs greens are starting to close on me slowly one by one.

anyways i dipped them both for about 10 mins or so. lots of pods, etc died off. a big fat juicey brsitle even came out. lol.

here is the problem, the RPEs have yet to open. i know i need to give it time for them to see if they will recover at all. as for the zurcs greens, some of the polyps did not close when i pulled them out of the water and then dipped them. thats where i think i messed up big time. now the ones that were not fully closed are begining to expell is zoolathax (sp). now i know thats not what it should be doing at all, in fact some of the zurcs greens prior to the dip were doing this for some odd reason. in fact, it sat under MHs before I got them and i am using only 130w of PC.

pictures will be up if im not so lazy.

Ouch!!! That stings! Obviously you happened to look in the wrong forum.

ek9vboi, sorry to hear about your zoos. Maybe some will bounce back. I had a few stay closed for more that two weeks and there doing great now. Good luck!

Looks like 3 of them are dead or dying. The others have opened up and look normal, but the others that stayed open while i did the dip are going down hill.

i have heard pe-types don't take so well to a fw dip; i dipped some armor of gods and lost them a few days later.

Hey, they look at this this way - they are only zoos, it's not like you lost any real coral...

lol, maybe we need more attitued like this in order to keep the prices in check! :P
