zoo med powerhead

i have a zoo med ps 40 powerhead.

the diagram shows it can have a air tube plugged in the top.

i cant get regualar air line to fit. nothing came with it.

what size line goes in there, and where do i find it?

i need something to suck air or water from the top of my overflow box.

help?

don't use that thing to suck air, its meant as a venturi to add bubbles to a FW tank. To get the air out of a overflow you need a vacuum pump like the Tom aqualift pump, they are $10~15 and are made just for that purpose. You might also have a flow issue, when you get a lot of air in the U tube its normally because of to little of flow inside.

what's the difference? i can see that it may pull off a few gph, but i'm limiting outflow right now anyway.

thoughts?
