Zooanthid questions

I have read that zooanthids are pretty common on LR. Any idea how long they uisually take to survive? Also, I got 6 snails from reeftoppia that they said were good - they are black and white. On another site it said they can eat zooanthids. Does anyone know anything about snails eating zooanthids? Thx.

zoo are pretty easy to keep, they spread over the live rock so I don't know how long each polyp live for. do you have the name of the type of snails you brought. most snails will not bother them,

Mayby this was something isolated in my tank but I had some problems with zoo colonies, then again I am not the best at keeping up with water testing/changes???
