Zoomax?

Kewlworm

I am thinking of getting it. I have a mixed reef (few sps, few LPS, and good amount of zoas and other soft corals). Will it benefit everything in my tank?

Thanks
Gary

It's hard to say what it would benefit and what it wouldn't. It's meant for coral and other inverts like feather dusters and fan worms that are "filter feeders." Some people, for example, don't use any product like that for their zoanthids and rely on photosynthesis for their sustenance, while others feel that they do benefit from a product like that. But if you have any of the kinds of coral or inverts that definitely will take phyto, then you should add it. Be careful though, not to use too much as it will add to the nutrients in the water column and micro-algaes and cyanos will take advantage of that.

If you're not dosing Phytoplankton, I would recommend that instead. Zooplankton are way too big for most filter feeders to uptake properly. Phyo will benefit your tank much more than Zoo IMO. If you go with Phyto, Kent's version is dead which is not ideal. You should get a live Phyto like DT's. I'm not sure if Zoo comes in a live version or not.

Phytofeast from Reed mariculture is awsome and more economical than DT's.
It is more concentrated and is still a live product.
