Zooplankton generator

I have read bits and pieces about making a "zooplankton generator" and would like more details or ideas. Basically my goal is to create a area where zooplankton will grow rapidly without predation and in turn will slowly and continuously feed my reef inhabitants. An article by Anothony Calfo mentioned taking a water holding vessel (such as a plastic food container) and stringing up course filter media with fishing line. I would really appreciate any additional thoughts or suggestions or further details on how to construct such a thing.

Thanks,
Greg

Look up a refugium. There are about 1000 ways to do one. Basically you need a seperate tank or area of your tank where no predators can get into. Most people fill it with Live Sand and macro algea, but there are many ways you can skin the cat. Then you want to somehow add this tank to your set-up. The best way to add one to a system is to have it above your tank. you pump water into it and it overflows into your diaplay tank. That way the zooplankton doesn't need to go through a pump. Most people put it somewhere else, because putting a tank aboty your tank can be a problem. As always, bigger is better.

Hope that gets you going in the right direction.
