well some firends of mine decieded to surprised me with a gift from the fish store, i expected a bag full of damsels but i was given some nice zoos and a bridnest frag, they heard i wanted them and got them for me, though i didnt get to reasearch them at all yet and is exactly why i dont have them ,

what is the main care of these 2 corals? feeding and location in tank to put them ,mostly, top bottom/flow

i have have plenty of light and good water param, also any recomendations for a good frag glue?

Not really sure about feeding, but I have zoo's (feed them nothing) and they are doing fine. Place them at the mid to bottom level of your tank. The birdsnest doesn't really need to be fed either (your light will do the trick). I would place the birdsnest low and move it up as it adjusts to your lighting scheme. HTH

Growth will be speeded by good water and also Ca carbonate addition, like dosing kalkwasser and buffer or two part. Randy's forum has several articles.

I don't have birdsnest. Eric Borneman's book says Poc. Seriatopora grows quickly and likes "moderately strong light" and "somewhat reduced water flow". I assume the last one means, somewhat reduced for a stony coral (which typically like more than the min to keep the zoo happy). The zoo is more adaptive to water conditions, for the birdsnest keep an eye on phosphates.

Good luck with the new corals.

I too recently aquired a Birds' Nest Frag. I used superglue gel to mount it, and I can actually see growth in it daily.

I too recently aquired a birdnest frag. I also got a tiny acro crab with my birdnest that grooms the frag all day. I wish it would color up to be a nice pink, but I think it's going to stay dull brown. It is growing a bit, as I'm seeing white on many of the branch tips. I'm not seeing as much growth from it as I am from my monti frags. I have a monti that has become a nice green polyped specimen that has put on a quarter of an inch of growth on the branches.

You can frag your zoas if you want. You just have to make sure that you can get under the polyps and get some of the rock with it, or you might be able to peel the polyps off very carefully and very slowly. Make sure none of the polyp juice gets into any cut on your hands, and no polyp juice accidentally squirts into your mouth or eyes. They are poisonous.

As for whether or not they reproduce on their own. They will bud off of the polyp mat and there will be more around the main mass.
