Zoo's and Palys look like shrunken heads

I seem to be having a problem with some, but not all zoo's and palys. These things used to thrive (under the same lighting) but many are now faded in color or even shrunken down in size.
My red PE's, in particular, used to grow like weeds. Now they are about half the size in diameter that they used to be, and even less vibrant in color. They are placed thru out the tank under various lighting and flow conditions.
And my water is fine.

Any ideas?

How many colonies are suffering? If multiple colonies, are they close to one another? See small stars, or hermits picking at them? (They do that with already dead tissue) Keep close watch for something nearby that can be bothering them.

If a disease or the start of zoa pox is an issue, look here.

It's not a pest issue. And it's primarily my RPE's. They are faded a bit and much smaller in diameter than before.

from what I understand PEs do not get zoa pox.
I am having some problems with my colony of RPEs for a few months now.
Ive dipped in Iodine several times. Found 1 asterina a couple of weeks ago hidden in the colony. dont know if that has anything to do with it. Some of the heads shrink from time to time.
