Zoo's Detaching From Base

I purchased new green and orange Zoo's from my lfs. The orange zoo's are detaching themselves from their base and falling off.

Anyone ever experienced this??? What could be the cause??

The green zoo's are doing fine. I've tried moving them high and low within the tank. Any suggestions??

Are they dying or does it look like they are healthy and maybe they were glued to the rock and are detaching?

Providing the zoanthids were not glued on the coral branch and instead was fresh caught like that then there is a possibility that the zoanthids grew over another coral (ie. a sponge matt) in the ocean. They could have been in the process of dying (or) the nutrients in your tank are not able to support them. Naturally the zoanthid may fall off as the sponge or or whatever dyes off and decays. This is one possibility as I have seen it before. Try giving the zoanthids a whiff and see if they smell bad. If they do then you should check your Ammonia as well as other levels and take appropriate measures. Whatever the situation, if they are healthy then you can just take them off the branch and glue them wherever you want. Good luck.
