Zoos just disappeared

I placed some Radioactive Dragon Eye Zoas into my tank and they see to have disappeared from the rock.

I bought a frag with about 32 polyps, rather small polyps, from a fellow reefer and took them through my normal dipping process for parasites then placed them into my tank. They were placed at the bottom of the tank to adjust to my lights, nest to some other zoas. They never really opened up maybe just a few then after about 5 days they just seem to have disappeared.

I have many other zoos in the tank end everything else is doing great. My water parameters are perfect. Any ideas?

where they glued to the frag? some times they can come free from the glue. look around you migh be able to locate them and reglue?

They were an established colony and a rock frag. I dipped them in an RO/DI iodine mix as described by MUCHO REEF.

do you have any fish or crabs that might eat polyps? is the rock they where on still there? sounds like that colony just didnt make it

I have had problems with preditor crabs that come in with my live rock or corals that are attached to a piece of rock.
They are not the usual hermit crab.
Sometimes they develop a taste for certain zoanthid colonies and will eat the whole thing.
