Zoos losing colar.

My Zoos are losing color. They are at the bottom of my tank (28") w/ 250 MH lighting. My water quality hasn't been so good, but it's now better then it every was with .01 phosphate and 10 ppm Nitrate. I'm still working on driving down nitrate, and I've been fighting diatom growth after adding 30# of cured LR (for ~100# total). 110 gallon tank.

I haven't fed them. Do I need to give them some plankton or similar? What's best?

Doesn't the plankton just get blown into the skimmer. Should I turn off the pumps/PH for awhile while I'm feeding corals? How does this work?

How old are your bulbs and what color temp are they? Also, could you post some pics of them so we have an idea of how much color they've lost?

Obviously you want to first look at what has changed (is your water worst off than it was, did you move them, buy new lights)

Like mentioned it could be your lights are getting old...

I've found that every zoo is different some like being blasted with 250watts, others like being in the far corner with shade.
