My zoos are not opening and I have started to dip then in a reef dip to try and find out what is bothering them. On the bottom of the rock and on other rocks in my tank is many really tiny white snails.

They are the size of salt but when you really look at them you realize they are snails. Can you help tell me what they are and are they affecting my zoo's not opening?

Thanks

Vermetid snails. I have never noticed any effect from having them on my zoas. Have you tried moving the zoas to a different location to see if they will open?

Sundial snails ? Just a guess without a pic. If they are sundials, they will irritate your zoas.
Good luck in getting rid of them if that's what they are.

Do they look like this?

yeah, I have seen those in my tank. What are they, and should I be concerned?

Cheers

They are Pyramid snails and are not supposed to be predators of Zoanthids, but anything is possible.

They are predators of Tridacniid clams and should not harm your zoas.

Can you snap a picture of the zoa colony? You might not have a predator.
