I have a question. Can you keep 2 Large Hifin (Threadfin) Snappers in one tank? The Aquarium is a 1,200 gallon Bowfront, approx. 15ish feet long and about 5 feet tall. It's one of my clients 8 aquariums. There's currently one in there already that's about 1 1/2 feet long (not including threadfins). He also has another one that's in a 250 gallon aquarium that's out grown it's tank. It's slightly smaller, maybe about a foot long (not including threadfins) and I was thinking about putting it into the 1,200 but not sure if they'll play nicely together. I know most snappers are schooling fish and wouldn't be a problem, however I read that a Hifin snapper isn't usually a schooling fish however are found with multiples swimming near one another, just not in schools. Any help or experience people may have with this particular situation would be appreciated. Thanks!

Let me see if this works. The tank is a room divider, this side is flat, the other side is the bowfront.

I'm not an expert by any means, but with that many fish, and in that big of a tank, I would say you would have no problems. You could always hold a mirror up to the tank so that the hihat in the mirror saw itself and see if it would act aggressively to it?
