1.25" gate valve

I'm looking for a 1.25" PVC gate valve to mod my skimmer so that the exhaust will fire into a different part of my sump so that I don't have to worry about micro bubbles (this sump is going to be so ghetto :)). Anyway, the hardest thing about doing the mod is getting a gate valve at a decent price. I'm just wondering if anyone knew of a local place that had them.

You should PM c_stowers. He and I are about to do a Savko order (or somewhere else, but they'll have gate valves since that's what I'm needing) together to save on shipping. I doubt he'd mind adding yours to the order if it would be easy to get the part to you after it arrives (being shipped to Antioch, and at Vandy often). Oh, and Savko has good prices on gate valves. Well crap, I just checked. They have good prices on 1" gate valves (what I need), but the 1.25" seems a lil high. Would you be able to use a 1" or 1.5"? Both are cheaper for unknown reasons.

Thanks for the heads up, but before I got this post I headed to the ACE out by the Critter and found one. They had all of the different sizes except for the 1.25" slip fit (there was a spot for it but they were sold out). So, instead I got the threaded one and can make it work with a couple of threaded adapters. This might actually work out better because then I can easily reuse the valve in another application if I need to.

I think it cost about $13... so that's not a bad price at all.

Not a bad price at all for local and especially when savko was asking $19something. They didn't have any union (single or true/double) gate valves did they? I'd really like one of those to save some space on a DIY skimmer pump intake. I'd go looking myself tonight but I don't know my way around East Ridge/Chattanooga at all yet.

I didn't see any union gate valves, but I wasn't looking, so they may have them. If you know you want something specific you could always just call... then again, driving around find new places is the best way to learn your way around a place.
