1.5" overflow and pvc flex pipe?

I have a glass holes overflow and some pvc flex pipe just came in the mail today...the fit is really tight with no leaks....should I still glue the pvc? If I leave it as is it would be so much easier to do maintenance later on.

i have the same kit.

i dont glue mines (spaflex) since when i do maintenance i need to remove the hose to get to my skimmer. folks will tell you to glue it...but i dont. its low pressure.
