Any one have any issues where a certian colony bleaches out, but none of the others?

All of my colonies are right by each other. so same flow and lighting. My jawdroppers, and orange acans are doing great, but my green purple acans are almost completely colorless. Still lots of flesh, nice and puffy, but clear with hints of light green. http://www.highdefcorals.com/products/acanthatsrea-lordhowensis-frag-2
Looked originally similar to those.

i dont have pics right now, if needbe i can take some.

1.024, 500ppm calcium, 8.568 dkh alk 0 phos. Everything else in the tank is great. The jaw droppers in 3 weeks have grown from 3 heads to 9. Would just like to get the greens back to normal.

D120 lights, 12-14 inches over water running about 40 day 60% blues. been like this for a while.

some colonies, pending on where they were collected and how they were lit when interrum (at the lfs or online shop tanks) are going to be very different from your setup. try moving some in a more shaded area, see if that helps. i have a few that have to be ouy of my light almost completely and others that can be right under them in the top 1\3 of my tank. i do find almost excl;usively that the colors are best in the lower half. but some just need to be in almost dark areas. if that does not help, see if your water is to stripped of nutrients...i run nitrate levels around 5 so as to keep both lps and sps as happy as can be without neglecting one or the other.

and fwiw, i have to keep pavona under a ledge as well as leptoseris. it took 6 months for my platygyra and pink euphyllia to acclimate to my lights and have started growing at incredible rates. every chalice i own less 1 took 3 or 4 months to settle in. just gotta find the sweet spot

and i have an ironman acan that has not budded new polyps for over 6 months, and other acans that shot babies up as soon as they got wet....

In my grow out tank I have some green/purple that I placed right next to some reds. The green/purple turn light brown/brown within a couple weeks. After a few adjustments - I moved them to an edge of the tank instead of near center - they colored 80% back to normal within a couple weeks. After a few months they are back to normal.

Thanks for the advice!!! i lowered it in and put it toward a corner with a bit less light. Ill just keep an eye on it whilte it recovers.
