Last night I was doing a water change and I noticed one of my newer acros started to RTN from the base. The coral in question was added about 2 or 3 weeks ago and never really seemed to get comfortable. While the other acros I bought at the same time had all started encrusting, this one did not. That being said it always had PE and even had PE while the RTN was happening.
Anyway, I'm wondering why just one coral would RTN? All the other corals look normal with really good PE. The funny thing is that my other corals are looking better than ever with increasing polyp extension. Is it because it never acclimated to the new tank conditions? This week I purchased all new RO membrane and filter for my RODI but I did all the necessary maintenance such as running the membrane for 2 hours before collecting water.
Here are my parameters
Salinity: 1.025
Nitrates: 0
Phosphates: 0.003
Kh: 7.4-7.6
Calc: 420
