1 meter long worm

It's an eunicid which came in as a much smaller young worm in live rock. It only emerged at night; the rest of the time it stayed inside its burrow in the rock. It has eyes and is sensitive to light and dark.

Is it dangerous? Depends. What else do you have in the tank? Is it a fish or reef tank? Have you noticed corals vanishing? Anything else? As a small worm this may not have bothered other organisms but as it grew it required more food & bigger food. Different species of eunicid eat different things and some of these large ones are harmless (being detritus eaters) but others are definitely a hungry threat to your inverts.

There's a fellow on the boards whose nickname is venwu225. He's really into these worms & willing to pay for shipping if you'd like to send it to him.

I wouldn't mind sending it over, the only problem is: I'm in Portugal. Due to the problems with terrorism and transporting liquids, I don't think it would arrive alive.
