Thats a beauty right there! I bought a similar looking millepora a while back but sadly it didn't hold that pink color you have, my pink turned to a deep reddish pink color which is nice looking but definitely not like yours! Great growth too, what type of bulbs do you run and how much flow does the coral receive? How high up also? I'm considering grabbing another one to try a different lighting/flow scenario and see if I can't keep that color.

Thanks guys its one of my favourite in the tank. The greens you see in it are actually the same in person too. I have it place 2/3rds of the way up in the middle of the light fixture i would say medium high flow from an mp40 on the opposite side end. I run 4xblue plus 1purple plus and 1 coral light all ati. Glued a small branch a little less than half way down to the bottom. Seems to get more green on lower light

Agreed, great growth. What lights are you using and what salt mix? What do you think is leading this success?

I use an ati 6 bulb. And I think I just got lucky with that one. It's the only coral that has explosive growth in my tank. It outgrows even my caps. Maybe it is just in the perfect spot and conditions ie. flow light nutrients etc. I am going to try to dig up another picture of a green coral I have that grows pretty good but not as good

Here it is. First pic October 2014 second pic this july

Nice, that green coral is awesome looking. I love the growth structure and those smooth branches. Also, have you ran your same bulb setup except swapping a blue plus for a coral plus? My combo is similar, I have 2 coral + 3 blue + and the purple +. Kind of thinking about trying a new combo next swap out time and seeing how you like it? I know its a subjective question but is it really blue, like a 20k look?

I ran the same combo you do for a while. It was a little too white for my liking. I have only been in the hobby for 2.5 years and cant really tell what is a 10k 15k 20k etc look. I just set my light up knowing the colours in my acros make me happy and personal taste of the bluer look

Right on. Yeah the color I have is a little too white when all 6 bulbs are on so I was seeing what you thought. According to different literature the combo I run and you used to is a 14 k color so im guessing the bulbs you have put out somewhere in the 16-20 k range but who knows. Guess I'll just get extra bulbs and mess around with different combos next time.

Yeah i got my bulb combo from grim reefers page he did some good research on t5's. And it says the blue plus has the highest par

Agreed, that's quite the change wazzel, and definitely for the better. I like how your yellow tang is in virtually the same area in both shots. Did you change your lighting between shots?

I change too much stuff so the best I can do is 7 months with corals generally the same position. Ignore the non sps on the bottom half. :D
