I am curious, does anyone have a pic of any SPS they only spent $10 for??
Or are there any reefers that selling $10 frags (w/ exception to Pocci or Birdsnest)?

I have heard it several times (only when people think it should be cheaper for them) but never in 18yrs have I seen it. Is there really people selling Pink Lemonade, Purple Monster, or other high end SPS for $10???

Would like to see pics
Unfortunately I have had the mis fortune of paying retail 90% of the time trades for other 10% so I cannot produce any pics of a $10 coral (except the Pulsing Xenia my wife wanted)

Give me a couple of seconds to take pictures of a 10$ "frag" (colony) i got. It reallly was worth more than that but the lfs thought it was something cheap cause it was all browned out.

Excellent! Cant wait to see pic.
Happened once in 18yrs for me but was a $20 colony @ swap

Yup. I have received $10 frags of pink lemonade, Garf bonsai, rouge Millie. Just gotta find the right hobbyists in socal. Also found a $40 colony of red planet that was 3" x 3"

i just got a red planet , a garf bonsai , a grays unknown and a tyree larry jackson for 45.as well as a nice florescent green and red brain for 20, ...$65 total. totally worth it.

+1 for visiting california. If you attend a frag swap you'll walk away with many "under $10 big name frags"

Moving here from wyoming (military) I was amazed at the low low prices for fish and corals.

couple seconds, couple days... lol...

to the OP, you can definatly find decent small frags if your in a local club, as NORMALLY, people can be very generous and understanding... from a LFS or something like that, or online, your not gonna get much of anything for 10 dollars... all jmo, GL

Thanks,
That is really my whole point of this thread.

come to a So Cal swap and you'll find plenty of $10 frags :D

I would love to!!!
However, $550 airfare, $150 hotel, $100 rental, $50 food then price of coral I am @ $850 and have not bought a coral!
Corals in LA (most corals 1st stop into US)are like Pineapples in Thailand they are everywhere and cheap!!! East coast we get your scraps @ max cost LOL
a frag of palys here costs $20

Most of my ora is $10. actually all of my sps frags were 10 bucks. Hawkins, setosa, pink lemonade, larry jackson tri color, blue steel stag, red planet, purple plasma, cali tort, and a 4x6" colony of pink mille for 40 bucks. Lots of nice people in CA.

my lfs sells $15 frags and has them on sale for $10 alot they have montis green slimers millis birdsnest all corals they grew themselvs

Is this thread about $10 regular acro's or the high end stuff? I'd like to see someone selling purple monsters, oregon torts, bubblegum mille's, icefire enchinata's for $10.

All o tort came from my lfs and they sell it for $50 a 1/2" frag

from an LFS, most high end frags will run $25-$50 for a 1/2 maybe 1" frag...but you can get other stuff for $5-6 on sale, normal price $10 to $20 for the non-high end stuff.

I acquired 2 frags a couple of months ago for $9.99 from a LFS. Both are healthy and growing nicely. All of my corals for less than $20 but none are the so called LE or high end (mostly because I don't support such selling practice).

I will start with pictures and hopefully others will join in:
