10 gal feeder ideas..shrimp/minnows?

I am setting up a 10 gal to feed my my angler, and need some ideas about what to put in it. I prefer saltwater minnows and shrimp, but as I dont live on the coast, I am finding it hard to figure out a financially viable way to do this. If I could support 100 shrimp for $80 in a system(probably way bigger than 10gal) and have them sustain a population for 5 or 6 months I would do it. Is that possible, and how? Also preferred species...

IMO I would keep some FW ghost shrimp, a very easy system would be a 10g (or even better a 20g long) a large spong filter (can be made very easily), some rocks with java ferns and java moss, add about 1 ghost shrimp per gallon, and wah-la, you have a ghost shrimp farm!

my only concern with ghost shrimp is that I am not sure of the effects that come from feeding saltwater fish freshwater fish. From what I have read from others, there seems to be concerns about lack of nutrients and shortening lifespans...especially in anglers. I would like a similarly easy set up with SW..if possible.

get a few mollies, acclimate them to SW and let them breed. Will give you an ongoing supply of free food!

Those ghost shrimp do no live very long. I have some amano shrimps that are over 3 years old in a plant tank(have never lost one yet), but ghost/glass shrimp seem to not have a very long life span.

I think ghosts live about a year or so. you could try mollies for sure, but they would need more like a 20 long for the parents and a 10g for the fry. I am trying to come up with other ideas, and the only thing I can think of that are SW would be mollies. hmm...

thanks chickencannoneer for the Sachs reference. I forgot all about them. I am going with the shore shrimp at $25.00 for 50 0f them, and see how long it takes to breed them. What a great place!
