10 Gallon Nuvo Nps work Tank

Update: Nitrates are running around 5 to 10ppms now so its time to back off alittle.
C-Dragon, The important thing you have to understand about crinoids is that they eat a diverse amount of foods and there are many different species that all have different preferences of foods aswell. I always try to provide a large variety of foods and see which ones promote the most positive feeding responses for each species. I currently have been using a mix of the roti, oyster, and artic pods from reef nutrition (don't really seem to react to phyto) along with cyclops. In my tank at home I use alot of the Fauna marin powdered foods and Reef doom aswell. Check out my new build thread I just posted I have a few pictures of my crinoids from my home tank. Also check out Aquabac's build thread. it's well worth the read, Mike has a lot of experience with them and has written multiple articles on them. You could stop by for sure in April! name is Austin

What are the settings on the AI Prime? I'm doing something very similar to this.

Funkateer, I can't remember off the top of my head. I did a basic ramp up and down setting using a mix of blue, royal blue,uv,red and a tad bit of white. the whole duration is about 9 hours I believe and none of the levels exceed 50%.

I boosted the reds because the pop on the nps coral and especially the sea apples is awesome. Although it is generally an issue to run reds because it will promote un desired reddish algae (common with expiring t-5 bulbs as the wave lengths begin to change) having everything low seems to prevent this.

I will be stopping by the store tomorrow, hopefully to pick a desired critter for my home tank too, but I'll check the levels for you. Also please let us know if you have or are going to make a build thread of your tank Funkateer, i'd love to see your approach!
