10 Gallons

I have a couple of ten gallons sitting around and want to use them also ....what type of filters and do i need a skimmer? What else to make it run good

What do you want to use them for? A simple quarantine tank needs no substrate and only an air driven sponge filter.

WOud like to have samll reefs in them with small fish couple

You need to decide if they are going to be stand alone systems or all connected to a common sump. If they are standalone you will need to have a much greater handle on your husbandry skills. Nano tanks are not very forgiving of mistakes.
