Hi all,
First post ever. I am new to to hobby and been reading tons of info on these forums. 100g 48x24x20 tank is in the making by a local manufacturer with dual 3/4" returns and dual 1 1/2" drains.
I recently purchased the trigger emerald 34 sump with dual 1" drains fittings.
I noticed the problem later after i had purchaed the sump that the drains dont match.
I spoke to my tank maker and he said theres a reducer you can apply or just drill the holes for 1" but i would loose a few hundred gph.
He said 1" drains = 650-700 gph x 2 = 1300-1400 gph and 1 1/2" drains = 950 x 2 = 1900.
I bought de vectra m1 dc pump so i can regulate the output to manage.
I plan to have fish and coral sps hopefully.
Any suggestions please?
