Hi,

What Maxscpect razor is the best for corals and colours of the fish ?
The 10.000k or the 16.000k version?

Greetings

I have the 10K, however I don't know if one is better than the other. To my understanding the 10K can provide better growth (potentially) and the 16K may make corals look better.

With the 1% increments or adjustment on the blues and whites I would't think you could really go wrong with either. I can make mine as blue as can be or as white as can be.

the color is more for personal preference. Some people prefer the bluer look which gives more of a deep ocean feel. The 10K is more of a sunlight "color"

I'm not an expert but I believe the LED wavelength has a lot to do with the coral growth and photosynthesis not only the look.

6500k is the best for growth. so 10k is better for growth than 16k. however 16k-20k has brighter more neon colors. so choose what you want, better growth or color. :mixed:
my mini reef has 20k, 10k-15k actinic and 1 color changing RGB led. i make the color changing led blue when i want to see better color, but most of the day i change the rgb to a 6500k-4000k mix cause my led has 16 colors to choose from. i noticed my coral happier when i had the led at 6500k vs the blue. the cool thing is my 20k and 10-15k led bulbs are always the same color so i get the best of both worlds thanks to amazing leds.

Ok , I'm going for the 10000k version I think . But I also still don't know how much maxspect razor I'm going to buy , I also still hesitate between an tank of 100cmx100cmx50cm(wh) or an tank of 100cmx70cmx50cm(wh). How much would I need ? I think 2 maxspect razors of 120w for the 100x70 and 2x 160w for the 100X100?

2 - 20.5" 16k over my 90. My tank is 48" wide with a brace in the middle. I personally think the coverage is plenty. i would buy one of the longer ones if I were you.
