100g Cube 30x30x28 Build

It's been a while since my last update. Purchased a new home about 2 months ago so I've been in the process of moving in.

This included moving the tank which is always fun!

The new house has a perfect location for the tank which backs up to the garage. I was able to built a shelving system in the garage and plumb everything through the wall and into the garage. So nice having everything in a different room! It's still a slight work in progress as far as getting all the electronics organized and I'll post pics when done.

All my fish and coral are living in a plastic bin. So far haven't had anything die! Lost my scooter blenny somehow between the old house and new house. Don't know where the poor guy went! Pretty sad, we loved that little guy. But everyone else seems to be doing OK and hoping they hang on just a little longer.

Some pretty big changes with the tank in it's new home. I've decided to switch out my current Marco Rocks for new live rock from Tampa Bay Saltwater. I went with "The Package" (http://tbsaltwater.com/thepackage/index.html). While the Marco Rocks were really great when it came to building my scape I really missed having all the extra life from LR. Plus I always felt that it wasn't as stable as my previous systems that I had done using LR. I think there is something to be said about having rock from the ocean and all the essential "critters" that play an important role included.

Part 1 of The Package arrived on Friday and my fiance and I had a great time pulling everything out and seeing all the life that we got! Part 1 is the sand and the base rock. We got a lot of great life even on the base rock. Can't wait to see what Part 2 looks like! It's looking like the cycle is going to be pretty short. Most of my readings are almost undetectable.

Richard from Tampa Bay has been great so far. Was impressed how quickly he could get the rocks shipped to me and in perfect condition.

Only negative so far is I have some clickers...I'm guessing pistol shrimp(s) so far but I'll have to through some traps in to see what I have. This was expected based off of everyone's reviews.

Picked up the boxes from John Wayne. Pretty cool to get everything on a same day shipment direct from Tamp Bay Saltwater!

One of two Urchins we've seen so far that hitched a ride. This guy is pretty big and really active.

A lot of great life, colors and things going on with each piece

Hard to see but there is a little red crap on here. One of the few that we've seen so far. This one looks like a Porcelain Crab. All kinds of snails, hermits, worms and crabs came on the rock...at least what we have seen so far.

One of the urchins that hitched a ride on the rock. So far we've counted 4. This is the large one, the others are pretty small still. All kinds of new stuff has shown up since we put the rocks in...pretty fun to see new things almost every day! Can't wait for part 2 of the package.

Any updates. Maybe I've missed it, but do you still have the SPS corals,a nd how are they doing under the Radion if you still have them?

I lost all my SPS during a bad cyno breakout before I moved. Just starting to get new corals up and running.

Before the cyno breakout the Radion's seemed to be doing a great job. I have them turned back to about 75% right now and thinking of even turning them back more. All the corals I have right now (acans, leather, alveopora, and frogspawn are all in the lower 25% of the tank).
