1073.030 return pump not restarting

I am having a problem with my return pump not restarting. The power went out the other day and the pump did not restart luckily my 6055's were still running. The pump is only about a month old. I had to start it by hand. Any advice would be appreciated

I would check that the impeller well is clean and free of calcium and is free spinning on the shaft. Check that the shaft is intact and not broken. Given the age, unless the calcium/KH levels are extreme, the most likely culprit is some sand or grit caught between the shaft and the impeller assembly.
