I lost my Wellsi this week, receeded and only the skeleton is left....sticking to Merlettis- as I have heard others recently lost some Blastos.....keep us posted. Mine was same color, and became bright red when I target fed them!

Larger polyps and formation I believe...plus the price tag(:....they were not on stems either.
They are new to me. My blasto wasn't as pink as yours , changed color intensely when I fed it. Bought it for the color.
My Merlettis are green and look like a forest of trees. Easy to frag. Not sure I will try another Blasto . Need to research why mine receeded, even though I think it was from the LFS as he lost several as well. He doesn't know why, parasite or mystery disease.

thank you.

Just got these!

i think this is an acan but not to sure.

Jarred, did you take out the sponge all together in the AC70 in your 10g?
I rotate the sponge rinsing it weekly(cahnge out monthly) , and change the carbon monthly...I collect alot of stuff when I rinse the sponge, and will turn a gallon of water fairly dark and dirty......
ok now I'm confused after reading your pages again......thought you had the AC70....

no i have never had a AC70 i always had the biowheels. and they do collect a lot of brown stuff and i clean mine weekly. i use a 100 micron sheet its the stuff filter socks are made out of.

Great setup, i thought of going with a 10 Gallon but i am obviously not as experienced as you are.
Any suprises with a 10 gallon that you may not have experienced with a tank of another size?

What color temp bulbs did you get when you bought the lights? Or recommendation? I have got to upgrade lighting soon. I just moved up to a ten gallon from 5.5 and my 28 watt coralife pc just ain't gonna cut it.
