reason i ask is cause after i re-did my rock in my tank with rods i had couple rocks left over so i started a ten gallon for my step son ... i have 2 of the 11 watt mini corallife 5050 which are ok but i like the t5 light jared has cause its not to expensive and looks good and more power for coral!

this is the ten i started wasnt full of water yet though, its a work in progress....

i have the same lights at the moment, and my zoas are showing some pretty good growth[nothing else has been in long enough to tell ]. what is he[or you:twitch:] wanting to keep?

nope it only has one switch, the 2 bulb fixtures should be in stock the 4 bulb fixtures are being remodeled right now so they are going to be better!!!

i need to stop adding stuff and wait for everything to grow out!

good news cyano is disappearing!!! This morning when the lights came on there was this layer of slime on the water it was so thick i could use a net and scoop it out then i siphoned as much as i could out, it was clear and slimy . Any ideas as to what it was?

If it was on the surface it is just nutrients that accumulate and float...u needs a surface skimmer

i found an aptasia today so i went out to get a peppermint shrimp and ended up getting one that has eggs! i sucked all that stuff out today where can i get a surface skimmer, the one i made didnt work so great...

o and im not planing on keeping anything but a couple small fish and simple mushrooms and other softies ... id love to keep an anemone fo a clown to host in but i dunno if that light is even for one..... the tank is for my step son he is 5 and he wants a nemo of course lol and he also like the blue damsels and firefish prob would love a watchman goby .... so its a work in progress im gonna start a build page like this one soon

they work great the only problem with them is that the leg mounts isnt wide enough to fit around the rim of my tank but it might work for you.

the peppermint shrimp died one day after i got it, i think it died because of the clown...
all the corals are doing great, im trying to find more space in the tank for some more shrooms....
