i have a 10g nano with 5lbs of ls(just enough to cover the bottom),8 lbs of rock and some water from my 24g pod and an established lfs tank. its been up for 2 days, nitrates are at 15. anyways i have a regular NO 15w flourescent bulb hood. got a hob power filter at 90gph and a MJ 600 at 160gph. i will be doing 1g weekely w/c's. anyway i want to keep this cheap and simple, i was thinking gsp, button polyps and some spotted shrooms will be ok with low light. just sticking with 3 main big coral colonies and let them fill in. for fish i was thinking just a single Bar Goby, they look very cool, saw one at the lfs. inverts 2 astrea,1 turbo, 1 nassarius, and a coral banded shrimp. any other idea welcome, id like to keep this a low light tank, so if there any other corals that would be ok, please tell me.

Imho, the stock 15w NO lighting is extremely poor lighting for a 10g.

A 28/32w PC retrofit would be a better alternative if your budget allows.

Look for a used 40 watt satellite. Gsps had awesome growth under mine when i was using it. The shrooms also liked it.
Shouldn't be too hard to score one of those on here for 30-35.00 w/ a 50/50 bulb.

i can get a new coralife 28w pc fixture for 34$, im sure i'll be fine with this, could i keep a brain coral?

i have the same problem, but i'm going to be going with the coralife 28watt PC light. remember, PC lights also put out more light per watt than say, VHO.
