Hi Folks,

I just would like to share the 10g sump that I made a few days ago for my 20g nano.

This tank was re-started about 2 months ago. All corals are about 1 month old. And about half of the corals came from the last swap meet in Elk Grove.

I built the sump to increase water volume and to have a refugium. It's been running for 3 days and, so far, it's working alright.

Thanks for looking. :)

Pull that tank over to the sand please.........hmmmmm..........thats one inch of fish per 5gallons mister...........Im going to let you off with a warning this time......but WE will be watching you......

where is my ruler, have you seen my ruler.......those are tangs ya know! They get big.....too big for that tank. You do know there are two tangs in your tank? They get too big for that tank......errrr eventually.

I all seriousness, I have NEVER seen a tang or another fish in too small of a tank......I think people get bored of them and trade them in before they get too big.

Shhhh.... the tang police are going to come to get you! Just kidding.

Very nice setup! I love the clean setup.

I know. The Tang police will be very upset when they see this post. Oh well,... bite me! :D j/k

Both Tangs were given to me by my brother. I've had the Blue Tang the longest- maybe 4 plus years or so. I've had it long before I had a son. Well, my son is now 3 years old and I still have my Blue Tang. The Yellow Tang came shortly after the Blue over some 3 years ago as well.

I used to have 4 fish in this tank for a long time- Blue Tang, Yellow Tang, Yellow Damsel and a Red Wrasse. The wrasse died when it got trapped under gravel while I was moving some rocks around. The Yellow Damsel was given away here on RC about a month ago.

I hear you, man. I was looking for a larger tank over the weekend. There was this Oceanic RR Tech display at Exotic that I want. Maybe Santa could give that to me this christmas. I've been nice all year. :D

The one Nuuze has for sale looks good, you should look into that one. I would get it myself, but am fully stocked in the tank dept.

Nice jeff ;)

Thanks, Max. How's the Yellow Damsel?

I saw your post about your black percs- so sorry about that.

I saw that. But if I were to upgrade, I'd rather get something bigger than a 58g- maybe a 75 or a 90.

Anyway, I'm eyeing the Oceanic for now. We'll see.

hey Jeff, nice work! How did you do it? Is it a 10g AGA and acrylic parts?? It looks very organized and neat... love the set up!

I saw that oceanic you're talking about. It's got that nice smoked glass in the black, and the center overflow. I liked it too, but it's too pricey, and a bit too tall. I'm gonna go for the 75 with mega overflow. It's 48x18 and it's height is just right to keep the elbows dry.

well the damsel too has been down with ich and i lost him/her last night. well i found it in the skimmer this morning. sux big time. i will be fish less for a while. ;()

LOL tang police how funny

Hey jeff did you use acrylic or glass for the baffles?

I need to re do my 10g sump, It is getting salt creep on the bottom of the tank on the glass outside

Thanks. :)

It's a 10g aga with acrylic baffles. I also used a CPR overflow box, CPR pre-filter assembly and CPR Bak Pak skimmmer.

Yup, that's the one. I think the price posted is for the whole set-up. Do you know how much just for the tank? I'm also limiting the tank's height to about 25 inches. I'd like to, at least, be able to reach the bottom while cleaning the tank.

what did you use to seal the acrylic baffles to the glass? Looks much cleaner than the one I did a while back.
