Just a few quick pics. Not totally finished with the tank. Got some other remodeling projects going on too but wanted to throw up a couple quick pics.

very impressive-
you dont get a sense of the length until i read it 11 ft tall. I think maybe the tall cabinetry is partially to blame. Anyway, nice to see large swimmy fish w/ the ability to actually swim

Thanks for the compliments. I took down the old 380g that I had built in the wall and set this one up in less than a week so it has been pretty hectic. Soon as I got the 11 foot tank set up I started building a fireplace with ledgestone rock and built in bookshelves and a plasma tv over top of the fireplace. I'm about finished with the fireplace and then I can get back to focusing on this new tank. My plans are to plumb in the 150 gallon tank that is beside it (can't see it in the pics, it is built into the wall). I opted for the SWC300a and am very happy with it. These winter projects are killing me, lol.

BTW - I already have plans for a bigger tank :)

For measurement sake the sohal in the top pic is a little over 8" and the vlamingii's are roughly 14-15".

I'll try to list them all if I can remember:

Pair of vlamingii's - both over a foot long
8" blonde naso
8" sohal
12" acanthurus blochii
7-8" Hippo Tang
6" Sailfin
4" Queen Angel
5" Passer
10-11" Annularis
5" Emperor Angel
4" Maculosus
7" Foxface Lo
6" Queen Trigger
4" Niger
4" Picasso
5" Clown Trigger
5" Diana's Hogfish
6" Red Coris Wrasse
3 squirrelfish

Host of crabs

In my 150g I have a 6" undulated trigger.

In the near future I am going to rework the plumbing and tie the two systems together and invest some $$ in the 150g, which means some of the fish in the big tank will move to the 150g tank.

11 foot looks very impressive. I like the open swimming space you have in the middle. Glass or acrylic Jason? Looks glass?

There is a closed loop on this tank as you can see. It is powered by a Barracuda pump. I also have a K8 Magnum and 2 coralvue powerheads, so there is plenty of flow in this tank.

Very impressive system. I love the rock work, and I am glad to see a tank where the big tangs don't look terribly crowded.
