118g Tank Project

I think my Camera is slowly dying..it's a old Canon PowerShot 2.0 MegaPixel..sorry if the quality of the pictures aren't great ! :(

hehe I know ! :)

But one of the key elements of this hobby, is patience !

Also, it would help if I had a couple of million dollars to spend...hehe

Quick question thats not related really: What program did you use to make the 3D drawings on the first page? Those are really nice

Hey Ginzo,

Just chimed in on your thread....AWESOME!!! love the detail. Pending your home furnishing [color] I would go with with a nice cherry finish with like 3 to 4 coats of High gloss poly. SWEET, but that's just my opinion.

Keep up the awesome work

EJ

All the 3D drawings and CAD drawings were done with Microsoft Inventor.

Well actually, it's my father's garage ! He has all the tools and we have been working on it together. We are actually thinking of maybe taking some custom orders once we get mine done !

One big difference will be that the future stands that we make will have an re-inforced aluminium frame instead of a 2 x 4 wood frame. So it's going to be solid and light ! :)

As a woodworker, I'd love to see some pix of your shop.

Thanks !

Can't wait to show you guys the final product, with the stain and all !

I find that a nice reef should be complemented by a nice stand !

From day one, one of my priorities was to have a nice looking stand, since it's going to be a central piece of furniture in my house ! :)

Where would someone download such a program? I've searched all of microsofts website and download.com. thanks for your help.

Good luck trying to use it, it's not a simple program to use...my father has more then 10 years of experience working in CAD programs, so I've learnt quite a bit from him. :)

That's cool i2ik !

What's happening with your project ? I see your in the progress of building a 420g tank ! wow ! :)

Btw, me and my father are might start taking orders for custom stands so if ever you want a great looking stand for your 420g..let me know ! ;)

For sure, it would be made much more quickly then mine, because we were in the process of getting all the tools.
