I received my Vortech MP40 pump yesterday. Played a little with it and frankly I'm not impressed !
I'm not saying it's a bad product, I'm sure it easily delivers on performance. But I find the plastic casing is not the best of quality (for what I payed) and I had a hard time opening the damn thing. I just didn't have a good feeling about it. So I went to one of my local LFS and managed to exchange it for a Schuran Pico calcium reactor with the media

It's seems like a great skimmer, quality wise. So I'm happy about that.
Next step, was to get more flow, since the Vortech Pump is out of the question. So I went to another LFS and purchased two Tunze 6101 Streams. Brand new of the market, and overall I'm very happy with them (quality wise). I haven't turned them on yet, since no water still..but the quality is definitely better then the Vortech from what I've seen.
So I'm pretty sure I'll have enough flow with my closed-loop and 2 x 6101 Streams

Just need to order another Tunze connection cable for my Profilux and get them hooked up on the Profilux.
I'll try to post pictures later this weekend, if my camera still works !
