I assume your going with a Nanocube or Aquapod or another all in one system?
If so ditch the media that comes with it (sponges, bioballs, ceramic rings), they are good for fish only setups but not reefs.
Upgrade the pump to a maxijet 900.
Get filter floss to use instead of sponges, you will need to change it out weekly (throw the used floss away).
Get Chemi-pure and purigen for the back chambers, both are good at improving water quality and keeping the water looking clear.

Need a heater, no more than a 100W, a 75W might be perfect, I like Ebo Jagr heaters at Premium Aquatics but something like a stealth would also work.
