12 Gallon Nano Clean Up Crew?

I think the scarlets might try to eat the snails, and move in. All depends on how big the hermits are. I have blue legged, so far no problems yet.

I've also got blue legged and haven't had any problems, but I've only had them for a couple weeks.

ask your lfs for a few empty shells when you pick up your crew and throw them in, its much easier for them to use the empty shells than kill and extract the snail. sounds like it should work out well

I started out with about the same. If you went 4 nass and 3 cerith I think that would be better. The nass hide other than when you are feeding mysis or something. The cerith show up at night.

Blue legs have reputation as being more aggressive than scarletts, but you never know. I keep scarletts in my 12g. The easiest and cheapest place for shells is the art store Michael's, or somethng like that. A few bucks for around 100 shells.

Good start--just play it by ear---you have room to add a few more as needed. I keep a few astreas, as well.

Also--your turbo's size may be a problem--knocking stuff down in a nano.

Yeah, turbo's are monsters...but so far I've had no problems with mine. I don't have much to knock over though.

What do you guys recommend for cleaning up the sandbed?
