Lisa,

somehow this scene would be more complete with a diving dog or at least a castle!

you may be right Kevin!!!!

i know where i can get a "NO FISHING" sign or a sunken pirates ship, but i'm not sure it would fit in the tank.... :)

Oh that last picture is PRICELESS!

btw ... the little Catalina Goby runt is doing fine. He doesn't seem to be filling out yet, but he's eating everything and the big mysid population in that hospital tank seems to be cleared out between the 2 gobies chowing down. :-)

Now THAT's a Tank!!!!!

Very Zen ..................

oooohh... Dave ... I want one like that with the big round rock pie in the middle!

I've always wondered ..... does Carpe carpum mean seize the fish?

What's entia?

and based on Maximus's last name ... doesn't he just wish stercus would happen? There's a poem about that written by the broken hearted.

I should know better than to answer these posts late at night.

:-)

yeah, they're both camera hogs......

glad the gobies are doing well, maybe "runt" will fatten up with plenty of food around and no persecution... :)

I also wanted to do something different and less labor intensive so I set up an 8 gallon for Dwayne.

Lisa, I'm afraid you don't fully appreciate the minimalist aspects of Dave's art. Notice the brilliant use of shape and space, the subtle confluence of curves, lines, angularity, and voids. And how could anyone not be moved by the startling juxtaposition of black and white and the loneliness it portrays even as color awaits just outside the form. Finally the manufacturing tags in the corner of the tank aptly demonstrate the crudity, the emptiness, indeed the vulgarity, of our very existence.

And I was just looking at the bumps and holes in the rocks to find more hidden meaning or shapes such as we see fluffy bunnies in the clouds ..... OH!! Wait!! I see the little mouse face towards the center of the rock?

Dave, what's your recipe for this Man-made brain-rock??

It's not man-made. It's the petrified remains of a human brain.
I could show you but you wouldn't like it.
