120 gal recommendation

I have seen here other recommendations of 1 6010 I think or maybe i was a 6000, I don't know, too many numbers, too close together.

I would like to know what you would recommend for this size tank, so I don't have to use any other powerheads?

120 gal 4x2x2.

Thanks,
Chris

Personally I would go with the biggest one you can afford, you can always dial them back, and I know of some people that have the big gun in a 75 gallon tank, another option is to get to smaller ones with controllers so that you can have one on both sides (if thats in the budget).

I am getting 2 6000's with a multicontroler for my 110 gal. I think that gives the most bang for the buck you can do tide simul and get a lot of nice flow patterns in the tank.

I would say 2 6000 with multicontroller is best. One could work with a strong return or sea swirl. I wouldn't advise the 6100 unless you plan to upgrade tanks soon. The point of the electronics is lost if you run it at low speed constantly. The main benefit is the pulsing between low power and full power which creates turbulence and a back and forth motion.
