120 gallon fish stocking

Hello all,

Anyone have any suggestions for fish that will live well in a 4 x 2 x 2 120 gallon. There are just so many options.

Ken

I have a 120 and I have the following with my promblem for 1/2 year now
1.FireHawk
2.Royal Blue Tang
3.Koren Blue Angel
4.6 Line Wrasse
5.Naso Tang (Lipstick)
6.Tomato Clown
7.Regualr Clown
And I used to have a snowflake eel & and puffer but traded them for some coral

In a tank that short despite it having 2 feet to it i'd still stick to the smaller tangs.

Are you going reef or FOWLR? Either way you may get away with a nice angel. If reef I'd lean toward bellus ..

Maybe a butterfly? again the species depends on where you want to go with your tank.

and no tank is complete without a blenny of some kind! I recommend the tailspot or sailfin or midas. Just be sure to have a tight fitting lid if you go with a midas or any type of jumper.

Heck you could even have a somewhat deeper sandbed and keep a garden eel, engineer gobies, jawfish, or some shrimp gobies to burrow under the rock.

I'd just avoid anything that gets too big or needs lots and lots of swimming room. Some anthias would probably do just nicely in a tank like that.

I've got a 120 with a kole tang, blue throat trigger, tomato clown, bluespot jawfish, blue flasher wrasse, two lyretail anthias, and a high fin goby (thinner than a pencil and about an inch long, so no measureable bio-load from him). If you're rich you could always get a crosshatch trigger. :D
