120 Plumbing

I have a quick question for the plumbing guru's out there. I am getting ready to upgrade to a 120. I am plumbing the tank this week end but have decide to use threaded pvc fittings in some areas. I have never used these so my question is do I need to use teflon tape or silicon on the threads or just crank them down ?

Use gas-rated yellow teflon tape. Much thicker grade than the white stuff.
