Wonderful progression shots!! It's amazing to see how much your tank has come along in that time.

Thanks, I'm happy with the progress so far there still a few pieces that refuse to grow or color up. now if I can just keep my hands out of the tank that would help. I moved a bunch of stuff around again [emoji57]

Your tank is a perfect example of what quality coral sourcing and quarantining do when you have all the correct pieces in place and healthy specimens to start wjth

Oh yeah. Good top downs. Me likey!!
I was going to ask you about that pale purple one.. it gave me a butterfly pang of jealousy in my stomach. I suspect it'll be spectacular soon enough.
Don't know what it is but it's nice.
So, you removed the rbtas?

Very nice colors looks great. I like the progression pics

Found something interesting while doing my water tests today found Fe has bottomed out at 0 tested it twice with my Red Sea kit.
What's everyone thoughts on iron? what is consuming it all, macro algae? What is a good additive for iron?
Have been using Red Sea Coral colors for about a year dosed in equal parts might be time to find something else. Everything else tested in normal range K, iodine, alk, calc, mag, Sr.

I've dosed iron in the past and found that the only time I get a reading for it is just after dosing.. within a day or less, it's out of the system.
I have heard that it is consumed very quickly by algea and corals, so getting a 0 reading is not so surprising..

Yea I always had a low reading .05-.15 but first time it's bottomed out at 0. Guess will try and does a bit more of part C of the coral colors which is Fe and trace elements not sure about dosing un equal amounts of the coral colors. Do you know of a good iron only solution to dose?

Unless you want a tank full of green corals, I wouldn't suggest adding more..
Seachem flourish iron is what I used to use for adding iron..
But if you are using the recommended dose of colors, why dose more? Probably not necessary... imo.
